I joined Zone Labs just before an unforeseen change of CEO & board members — resulting in sweeping layoffs — but I was with them long enough to enjoy a wide breadth of design challenges. I enjoyed my time there very much.
Upon starting with Zone, there was an existing brand and style to adopt and mimick in the upcoming endeavors, although I did begin to propose evolution of the brand just before the company went through staffing changes and reduction.
I was fortunate enough to be hired into a situation where I got to flex so many of my design muscles at the same time. While I started with simple email and newsletter layouts, I quickly expanded into other aspects of my creative background; landing pages, product photography, package design, 3D modeling/rendering of products to replace/embellish product photography, tradeshow booth graphics, large scale banners and signage, print output for brochures, order forms, then magazine advertisements, clothing designs, DVD package designs, video editing, and DVD authoring.
This was a very enjoyable time to get to work with such a great group of people across a wide variety of design output.
